Hi, I’m Ismail, and I’m a Senior Real Estate Advisor with Paradise Listings with over a decade of experience in the Riviera Maya.

But my story here didn’t begin with real estate.

Before this chapter, I worked for a major European travel agency as an overseas representative. My job was to guide international clients as they explored new countries for the first time. Asia. Mallorca. Fuerteventura. My office was wherever the world felt beautiful that season.

I was good at it. I helped people find their perfect two-week escape.

Then I arrived in Mexico — just another contract, or so I thought.

It wasn’t supposed to be permanent.

But while I was helping visitors discover the Riviera Maya… I was quietly discovering it myself.

I met my wife here.
I built friendships that became family.
I created a life most people only talk about over drinks on a Friday night.

And then one day, the company I worked for went under.

Just like that.

I could have gone back to Europe. Or Asia. Started over somewhere else.

But I looked around. I already had an apartment. A favorite taco stand. I could say “buenos días” and mean it.

The thought of leaving actually hurt.

So I stayed.

Not because of a job.
Because of my heart.

Losing that job was the best thing that could have happened. It forced me to build a life, not just a career.

And that’s when real estate found me.

After years of selling temporary joy, I finally got to help people with the permanent stuff. The keys-under-the-mat, plant-a-tree, this-is-my-kitchen kind of stuff.

Over a Decade Immersed in the Riviera Maya

More than ten years later, I know this region deeply.

Not just the listings.
Not just the developments.
But the rhythm.

The Riviera Maya is more than beaches.

It’s history in every corner.
It’s music drifting through the streets.
It’s resilience.
It’s mornings with ocean breeze and evenings that stretch into long, meaningful conversations.

As a foodie, I fell in love with Mexico through its flavors — local markets, family kitchens, hidden gems. Here, food isn’t just eating. It’s connection.

And that sense of connection is exactly what draws so many expats to stay.

Living here isn’t about escaping life.

It’s about choosing a fuller version of it.

More presence.
More balance.
More community.

Why Clients Work With Me

1. I’ve Been in Your Shoes

I know what it feels like to stand at the edge of a decision and think:

“What if?”

I’ve seen thousands of visitors arrive for a holiday and leave wishing they didn’t have to go home. I’ve watched that quiet spark in their eyes.

I see it in my clients too.

The ones who are a little scared, but more excited.
The ones who don’t just talk about square footage, but about morning light and space for their kids to run around.

I was once the person scrolling through photos, wondering if life could really look different.

So when you work with me, you’re not just getting an advisor.

You’re getting someone who understands the emotional side of this decision.

2. Over a Decade of Market Experience

With more than ten years in the Riviera Maya, I understand how this market moves.

I know how to navigate pricing.
How to identify value.
How to assess rental potential.
How to guide you through the paperwork, the negotiations, and the unexpected moments.

Buying property here isn’t like buying a product.

You’re buying into a pulse. A rhythm.

It can be bureaucratic and magical at the same time.

You need someone who understands that mix.

3. I Believe in Building a Real Life. Not Just a Portfolio.

For me, real estate isn’t about pushing transactions.

It’s about helping you build something lasting.

A home.
A base.
A future chapter.

The beach isn’t a vacation plan here. It’s just there. So are palm trees, warm rain, and sunsets you catch without trying.

Life feels human here.

And I want that for you.

What You Can Expect When We Work Together

If we work together, you can expect calm, clarity, and honest guidance.

I’ll handle the “how” (the paperwork, the steps, the logistics) so you can focus on imagining your life here.

No pressure.
No sales tactics.
Just real conversations about what makes sense for you.

I want you to feel like you have a friend in your corner, someone who’s been through the paperwork panic and came out the other side happier.

If You’re Feeling the Pull

If you’re reading this and it feels like a far-off dream… I was you.

Sitting somewhere else. Scrolling. Wondering what if.

Life is too short not to listen to that pull.

Let’s have a coffee, even if it’s virtual.

No sales pitch.

Just a real conversation about what’s calling you to the Riviera Maya.

Because sometimes, the life you weren’t planning… becomes the best one you ever build.
